Hi! I’m Cayce Goldberg (it’s pronounced like Casey). I’m a digital painter, illustrator, and former art gallery curator from Colorado.
My work reflects my love of portraiture and figure art, as well as pet portraits, children’s illustration, and eclectic, imaginative character work. I utilize digital painting with a traditional sensibility that aims to be expressive and handmade.
I’ve made art that’s been featured in galleries, as private commissions, and also for merchandise, promotional pieces, holiday cards, and presentations.
I’m sometimes asked why I prefer to use digital media. I’ve always loved how easily I can experiment with my work, how readily I can rework it, and how faithfully it can be reproduced online and in print. Now that I work primarily on a tablet, I’m also able to take my entire art studio with me and can work anywhere.
I started painting with digital media since 2003, beginning with Corel Painter and JASC PaintShop Pro. I eventually moved to Photoshop, ArtRage, and Procreate.
When I’m not working on art, I play games, guitar, and tennis, ride my bike, build PCs, hang at the Renaissance Festival, and love to read sci-fi and fantasy novels. I’m also a dad to two kids who keep me young (at heart).
